Heavy tungsten alloys

WNiCu – Class 2

Tungsten Alloy

WNiCu is a heavy tungsten alloy composed of tungsten and a nickel-copper binder phase. Its main characteristic is that it is completely non-magnetic, which distinguishes it from W-Ni-Fe and makes it indispensable in applications sensitive to magnetic interference. Dense, strong, and with a low coefficient of thermal expansion, it is used for radiation shielding, precision counterweights, and components in the aerospace, defense, and nuclear medicine industries.
