Metal Concept
Custom Parts
Designing a part made of a specialty metal often involves technical challenges that traditional industrial processes cannot always meet. Complex machining, rare grades, small quantities, traceability requirements: Concept Métal puts its expertise and network of partners at your service for the produce custom parts in non-ferrous materials and specialty metals.
Materials
Custom-made parts in a wide range of materials
Concept Métal offers parts primarily made of brass and specialty metals. We work with the following materials in particular:
- Copper alloys : brass, bronze, copper-aluminum alloys, special copper alloys (CuBe, CuCrZr, CuNi2Si, CuCo2Be).
- Nickel alloys : Inconel 625 and 718, Monel, Invar 36, cupronickel.
- Titanium and its grades (Grade 2, Grade 5 TA6V).
- Refractory metals : tungsten and alloys (W-La, W-Re), pure molybdenum and alloys (TZM, MoLa).
- Special Metals : tantalum, niobium.
This diversity of materials allows us to meet the needs of a wide range of applications, whether in the aerospace, nuclear, medical, chemical, power electronics, or research sectors.
Parts
Types of Parts Produced
We handle the manufacturing of metal parts according to your drawings, from single prototypes to production runs. Our services include:
- Machined Parts : rounds, tubes, discs, rings, shafts, and complex parts machined on 3-, 4-, or 5-axis machines.
- Reworked Blanks : blocks, cylinders, and plates intended for further machining at your facility.
- Stamped Parts : sheet metal, strips, 2D parts.
- Forged or stamped parts depending on the materials.
- Custom-made welding electrodes for TIG or resistance welding.
We can accommodate both small-volume production (prototypes, small runs) and the needs of recurring medium-volume production runs.
Support
Technical support
A project involving a specialty metal often raises questions that only metallurgical expertise can answer: Is the chosen material suitable for machining? Would an alternative grade help reduce costs without compromising performance?
Using drawings provided in standardized formats (STEP, DXF, PDF, etc.), our teams analyze your needs.
Our specialists get involved early on to help you:
- Verify the technical feasibility of your part.
- Identify the optimal shade based on usage constraints.
- Anticipating machining challenges specific to refractory or reactive metals.
- Define the most appropriate manufacturing processes (laser cutting, machining, heat treatment, welding, finishing).
Quality, Traceability, and Documentation
Each part delivered is accompanied, upon request, by material certificates, chemical analysis reports, dimensional inspection reports, and, if necessary, non-destructive testing reports (penetrant testing, ultrasonic testing). We work closely with our manufacturing plants and machining partners to ensure that every part meets your specifications.
This level of documentation is essential in regulated sectors—such as aerospace, nuclear, and medical—where the traceability of materials determines whether components are accepted.
