Copper-Molybdenum

Copper-molybdenum (MoCu) is a refractory composite material that combines the properties of molybdenum and copper. Although the two metals are not miscible, their combination through sintering and infiltration offers a unique profile: high thermal conductivity, a coefficient of thermal expansion that can be adjusted based on composition, and a density significantly lower than that of its tungsten-copper (WCu) equivalent. It is the ideal alternative to WCu for all weight-sensitive applications, particularly in power electronics, aerospace, and the semiconductor industry.
