CuNi14Al3 is a high-strength, aluminum-reinforced copper-nickel alloy. The aluminum induces structural hardening, giving this alloy mechanical properties far superior to those of conventional copper-nickel alloys. It is used in particular for the manufacture of forged compressor discs and parts subject to high mechanical stresses in marine environments.
