UNS M11311

Magnesium AZ31B is a wrought magnesium-based alloy containing approximately 3% aluminum and 1% zinc. It is one of the most common magnesium alloys: it offers excellent lightness (it is the lightest structural metal), good hot formability, and adequate weldability. However, its corrosion resistance is only moderate and generally requires surface treatment, and its cold formability is limited.
