Molybdenum Tungsten

Molybdenum and tungsten belong to the same family of elements. Both have a body-centered cubic structure. Their atomic radii and lattice constants are similar, and they can form a continuous solid solution. Adding tungsten to molybdenum can improve molybdenum’s high-temperature characteristics and corrosion resistance, increase its recrystallization temperature and high-temperature performance, and result in an alloy material that combines the advantages and properties of both molybdenum and tungsten. The molybdenum-tungsten alloy can be used in high-temperature equipment, aerospace, sputtering targets, and other fields. Mo-30W is primarily used in the manufacture of agitation tools in the zinc and glass industries. Mo-50W is primarily used as a sputtering target for the manufacture of flat-panel displays.
